Dear Colleague,

It is a pleasure to contact you on behalf of the Editorial Board of MDPI´s flagship journal Molecules (www.mdpi.org/molecules). Molecules (ISSN 1420-3049) will publish a special issue later this year devoted to " Organic Magnets ". Dr. Jeremy Rawson (e-mail: jmr31@cus.cam.ac.uk )  and Antonio Alberola (aa323@cam.ac.uk ) have been appointed as Guest Editors.

As you will probably know, Molecules is a free online journal. Papers published in Molecules receive very high publicity. Now published papers are archived by printing 100 hard copies of the volumes which are distributed almos free of charge to themost important libraries in the world (see the http://www.mdpi.net/PRINTED-EDITION/ website), by publishing CD-ROM volumes and by mirroring at several serves listed at http://www.mdpi.net/MIRRORING/mirrors.htlm. This journal has been indexed and abstracted very rapidly by several leading indexing and abstracting services, including Beilstein, Chemical Abstracts, CAOLUS, Science Citation Index Expanded.

Since you are a well known researcher in this area, we have great pleasure in inviting you to submit a paper for this Special Issue. We would particularly welcome papers on purely organic magnets but would also consider manuscripts on inorganic/organic hybrid materials. The deadline for manuscript submission is 30 April 2004. The paper should be sent initially to the Guest Editor, who can approve that the manuscripts are suitable for publication in the Special Issue. Then they should be forwarded to Dr. Dechun Ji  (molecules@ouc.edu.cn) clearly stating that the article is for the special issue on Organic Magnets.

Details about manuscript preparation can be found at the web site http://www.mdpi.net/molecules/publguid.htm.

Your participation as an author in this special issue of Molecules would be extremely valuable and would be a significant contribution to this Special Issue. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of us.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Jeremy Rawson and Antonio Alberola
